Guess the daily word in up to five tries. After each guess, you'll be told how many correct letters you've used. You can use a nudge to be given some of the letters if you get stuck.
A new word is available each calendar day in your timezone. The puzzle resets at midnight in your local time.
No. You can play without signing up. Creating an account is optional and lets us save your game history so you can see your stats, streaks, and ranking.
If you have an account, we track how many days in a row you've won (current win streak) and your longest win streak. Only games you complete (win or lose) while logged in—or that you add when you sign up or log in—count toward your stats.
Yes. When you sign up or log in after finishing a game in that session, we will ask if you want to add today's game to your streak. Choose "Yes, add it" and we'll record it on your account.
We use a fixed word list for valid guesses. If a word isn't accepted, it isn't in that list. The answer is always a valid guess from the same list.
On the login page, use "Forgot password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a link to set a new password. The link expires after a short time.
If you have an account, we compare your results with other players who have completed games. Rankings are based on an adjusted score that takes into account how many games you've played, your win rate, guess counts, and nudges. You'll see your percentile (e.g. "top 10%") once enough players have joined. The more you play, the more meaningful your ranking becomes.
We use your email to identify your account and to send you a password reset link if you request one. We do not sell or share your email with third parties for marketing. We may occasionally send you game-related updates; these are infrequent and you can expect us to be sparing. You can read more about this in our Privacy Policy
